TestServer (Reino de Pruebas)

áh, ¿que no sabies lo que es el Test Server?

Sencillo,
es un servidor oficial de blizzard, que actualizan con cada parche que van a meter, abren el servidor unas semanas antes de soltar el parche, para probar los fallos o cambiar cosas.. y quien prueba los fallos?
NOSOTROS y otro frikis sobretodo... Es gratis (requiere que tengas cuenta del wow, pero no que esté activa), y funciona de la siguiente manera:

1º Te vas a la pagina del wow, en español o ingles, lo importante es quesea la de Europa (woweurope.com o woweurope.com/es o algo asi).

2º En el menu desplegable de la izquierda, en el apartado de "Gestion de Cuenta" hay un mini-menu donde llegas a poder acceder al Reino de Pruebas.

3º Dentro de la seccion del reino de prueba, lo 1º es bajarselo; que se instalara automaticamente dentro de la carpeta del wow, con cada parche nuevo, nuevo TestServer; asi que habrá que actualizarlo. Se ejecuta igual que el wow normal, la única diferencia son los servidores a los que te conectas, que suelen ser 2, TestServer PvE y TestServer PvP (yo siempre me los paso al PVE todos, porke puedo pasar Hordeños y Alianzos).

4º Si por defecto no hacemos nada mas.. pues tenemos 2 servers con nuevo contenido.. pero... ¿¿me tengo que crear un Pj de cero ?? NO! Ahi esta lo bueno, podemos "clonar" los nuestros hasta 4 veces al TestServer; incluso 4 veces el mismo (el main, para probar talentos distintos y todo..., yo siempre me paso a Thul a feral y a Moonkin XD) o un truco que hice hace muuucho tiempo, si alguno no tiene la epica aún.. pero no le falta
mucho.. puede copiarse su PJ 4 veces. y vender toooooodo lo que tiene en 3 de ellos, y mandarle toda la pasta al 4º... enfin... lo sé.. estoy enfermo

El proceso de Clonacion suele tardar un poco, y es aconsejable hacerlo a horas raras.. donde no hay mucha gente haciendolo.

Facil, sencillo y para tooooda la familia.. verdad?

Recordemos que es un reino de pruebas, y se borra todo cada parche nuevo, no hay GMs ni nada, tan solo "se admiten sugerencias" y aunke jode perder todo, mola haber probado cosas sin perder nada no??

Yo nunca me suelo poner el mismo nombre de Pj, me lo suelo poner relacionado con los talentos.. jejej mi Moonkin se llama Thullmoon jajajaj enfin... si os copias alguno, hacedmelo saber en este hilo!

In regards to hunters and exotic pets. If I spec into the 51 point talent and I go to switch to survival how will I change pets? You said you wanted it to be somewhat easy to switch between specs but nothing trivial. Will we have a second pet that is automatically summoned when we switch specs? What about the extra four points our pet's talent trees have? How will those be taken away or replaced when changing specs?

We have a solution for pets, but we're not ready to announce it yet. You'll like it.

Are there any plans to make switching gear sets easier? Healers, tanks and dps roles usually carry more than one set of gear. It can take up a lot of bag space and can be rather annoying at times. Is there a way to
have your gear automatically switch when you change specs?

Not automatically, but we're aware of the issue and dual spec would be a really opportune time to examine it.

How do you think dual specs will affect addons that modify the action bars? It seems like it will be a hit and miss. The addons will either become broken or no harm, no foul and the addons work as intended.

I'm sure the addon authors will figure out how to make them work with the new system. Things can sometimes be a little rocky just following a patch if you use a lot of addons.

Dual-spec mechanics
We haven't finalized the design, because ideally we want to be able to get it on a PTR and have players try it out.

Our thought at the moment is that swapping specs (going from A to B) will truly be free in towns and possibly during the prep phase of PvP. In an instance it may cost a nominal fee (think reagent level). We want you
to be able to do it when you want to do it, but we also don't want to slow things down if everyone is constantly flipping spec from fight to fight. But if it's free in town, then obviously it can't be more of a burden out of town than just hearthing and being summoned back is or nobody will use the remote option.

Someone helpfully quoted our response on why we are likely to launch the feature with "only" 2 specs.
